We are so ready for spring

I just wrote an entire other post about this morning and how awful it was, how our morning struggle to get Henry out the door appropriately dressed got out of control. We get through very few mornings without a lost glove or a critical Hat Problem, and all too often this leads us down a death-spiral which ends in shouting and stomping and slamming doors and poor behavior on all sides. But this morning might have been the worst one yet.

I captured the frustration of the morning a little too well, however, and while re-reading it I could feel my shoulders tense up all over again and I then I started weeping, and THEN I deleted the whole shebang. I didn't want to relive it, so why would you want to read about it? So much ridiculous behavior. So little perspective. From all of us.

THE HAT MUST BE APPLIED! IF THE CHILD IS NOT DRESSED CORRECTLY, WE WILL ALL BE DOOOOMED!

I know it's silly, I know we all love each other and we're fine, but lord, after over two years of having this daily morning battle, you think we'd figure out how to keep from almost killing each other. I am almost sure there are better ways to start the day.
