I’m an author, editor, and writing coach with three decades of experience helping writers bring clarity and honesty to their work. I’ve written for national outlets across genres, edited digital media for major publications, and co-authored the nonfiction book Let’s Panic About Babies! (Macmillan, 2011). My three upcoming children’s books explore the strange, funny worlds kids inhabit.

I work with writers at every stage: those shaping early ideas, developing book proposals, or pushing a manuscript across the finish line. My coaching is practical, empathetic, and grounded in a lifetime of writing professionally. I’m a lot of fun to work with, too.

I believe in the kind of creative process that survives real life. I’m focused on helping writers trust their instincts and execute their projects without getting lost in self-doubt.

I live in New York’s Hudson Valley with my family and Leo, a highly opinionated chihuahua mix.
